YOMI IFABUMUYI: ONDO LOSES FIFA REFEREE

The death of a retired FIFA Referee, Match Commissioner, media pundit and educationist, Chief Abayomi Ifabumuyi had been announced.

He was reported to have given up the ghost at about 7.30 am today.

Confirming the development, his immidiate younger brother, Mr Wale Ifabumuyi, a coach said he was with him yesterday night till today when both had nice times together and discussed family matters before retiring to their respective homes.

He said Chief Ifabumuyi was hale and hearty until his death this morning.

According to him, the family is greatly shocked and devastated by his demise.

The late Abayomi Ifabumuyi, 74 is survived by four children and three siblings including Mr Wale Ifabumuyi.

The family members are currently discussing his burial plans.

Stakeholders would be appropriately notified details of his burial ceremonies.

Yomi, as he was fondly called by his admirers was a fearless, vocal, irrepressible, resourceful, pragmatic, cerebral and ebullient person.
