*FIRE OUTBREAK AT OSRC’s HEADQUARTERS*
Today, Sunday, 27th November, 2022 there was a fire incident at the administrative section of the headquarters of the Ondo state government owned broadcast media, OSRC.
However no human casualty was recorded, and the operational facilities including transmitters and studio equipment at our three services, OSRC TV, ORANGE FM and ALALAYE FM which now operate from the same premises are intact.
The State and Federal Fire services were duly invited and they responded promptly, and put out the fire at the administrative section before it could do further damage.
The Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, CON has been briefed.
The Corporation’s authority has directed a temporary shut down of our transmission operation to ensure that the premises is secure while also assessing the situation.
At the moment there are no final conclusions about the cause of the development but interim assessment indicates a power surge.
OSRC wishes to appreciate all who have sent words of solidarity over the incident, particularly our esteemed viewers, listeners and clients.
We wish to assure the public that we will be back on air very soon.
