Sunshine Stars’ Edith Agoye Elected into Executive Positions of NPLCMA

Coach of Sunshine Stars Edith Agoye has been elected Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Premier League Club Managers Association, NPLCMA.

Also elected are 3SC coach Gbenga Ogunbote and national team handler Kabiru Dogo who at one time or other handled Sunshine Stars.

Ogunbote who guided Sunshine Stars to CAF Champions League as well as CAF Confederation Cup semifinals in 2011 and 2012 was chosen the Chairman of the group while Dogo is to handle the treasury as Treasurer.

Abdul Maikaba is Vice Chairman just as Remo Stars’ gaffer Daniel Ogunmodede becomes General Secretary.

At the inaugural conference of NPLCMA in Lagos, the association also agreed to accommodate 20 club managers in the topflight and honorary members based on their commitment and dedication.

The association frowned at betting in NPFL as ‘it is taking a major hit on results of their games and threatening their job security’.

Members of the association reiterated that the group is strictly for head coaches in Nigeria’s topflight league and is not in any way a parallel body to Nigeria National Coaches Association or Nigeria Football Coaches Association.
