Ondo state government bans activities under power lines.

Ondo state government has outlawed all trading and other activities under the power lines across the state in order to forestall lost of lives and prosperties

Commissioner for energy , mines and miniral resources, Razak Obe gave the information in reaction to the news that Benin electricity distribution company stopped the supply of power to the whole of Ile Oluji community in Ile Oluji -Oke Igbo local government area of the state.

The stoppage followed the death of five children as a result of electricity cables that fell on their mother’s container in okeigbo.

Mr. Obe advised all residents in the state to comply with the government directive by removing all illegal structures under the electricity cables to a more secured areas.

The commissioner assured that the government would study the law that regulates electricity in the state to apply sanction on
anyone who violates it.
