Ondo Residents Reluctant to Accept Old Notes despite Supreme Court’s verdict on currency swap

The Supreme Court recently nullified the ban on the old N200, N500 and N1000 banknotes as legal tenders in the country

The verdict prompted Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to address Ondo state residents on the urgent need to stop rejecting the old notes as such unwarranted practice will only inflict needless pains on the masses

OSRC’s Joy Pius who went round Akure Metropolis after the governor’s state broadcast however discovered that commercial centres like Petrol stations, markets and motor parks have yet to accept old naira notes.
