Over 200 widows in Akure, the Ondo state capital have benefitted from the empowerment program of a Non Governmental Organization, My Choice group. At the formal inauguration of the group in Akure, its chairman and initiator, Princess Monisola Okwophoriole said the gesture was in honour of her late mother who died 16 years ago. OSRC’s Omorinola Hungbeji reports that the Ondo state ministry of women affairs and social development on the occasion presented certificate of registration to the group, recognizing it as a non-governmental organization in the state.
