NASRDA commends OSRC on professionalism, urges more support for societal development

The need for continuous engagement towards enlightening and sensitizing the public on the critical role of Nigerian space agency has once again been emphasized.

Chairman of OSRC Media Group, Mr. Kunle Adebayo made the assertion while playing host to the Director General, National Space and Research Development Agency, NASRDA, Dr. Halilu Shaba and his entourage at the OSRC Complex, Akure.

Dr. Shaba is in Ondo State to deliver this year ULEFUNTA festival’s annual lecture titled ” Global Climate Change and Food Security in Nigeria: The Roles of Rural Communities in Global Mitigation and Adaption Measures.”

The Director General of NASRDA, Dr. Halilu Shaba and his entourage were received by the management of the corporation.

In his remarks, Dr. Shaba noted that the visit is to create avenue for synergy between the space agency and the media group towards continuous sensitization of the people on the space science technology and innovation television.

He saluted the Chairman Mr. Kunle Adebayo for the rich and robust engagement in the television and radio contents and programmes towards disseminating qualitative and educative information to the people.

Responding, the Chairman of OSRC media group Mr. Kunle Adebayo appreciated the agency’s visit reiterating that there is urgent need for the public to know the Knitty-gritty of the space agency.

He noted that the partnership would also go a long way at enlightening those at the grassroots to know what the agency fully stands for in a bid to boost the engagement between the two agencies.

Mr. Adebayo lauded the Director, Media and Corporate Communications of NASRDA, Dr. Felix Ale for his wealth of experience, leadership, journalistic ethics and great works which is speaking for him.
