Gov. Akeredolu Canvasses Adoption of 1963 Constitution

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has called for a redesigned Nigeria constitution that will reflect the yearnings and aspirations of the people and take care of the interest of the various ethnicities in the country.

Akeredolu observed that the current agitations in the country are pointers to the need for urgent fundamental adjustments to the country’s constitution.

Government House Correspondent, Wahab Bankole, reports that the governor at the 67th anniversary and annual reunion of the Loyola College Ibadan Old Boys Association in Ibadan suggested a copious adoption of provisions in the 1963 republican constitution as a guide in the quest for a new socio-legal order
