General election: INEC set to receive sensitive materials from CBN

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Ondo State is set to take custody of sensitive election materials from the Akure branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

The items include ballot papers and results sheets for the 2023 general election which will commence with the presidential and National Assembly polls on Saturday, February the 25th.

The materials are expected to be taken for onward distribution to the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.

Representatives of the different political parties in Ondo State are already on ground at the CBN Akure branch to observe the distribution process.

Men of the Nigerian Police force are also on ground to provide security.
