A professor of Fisheries Management at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Oluayo Bello-Olusoji, has recommended the creation of Shellfish Bank and mapping of the indigenous Molluscs in Nigeria to boost food sufficiency and economic prosperity. OSRC’s Toluwani Sijuwade reports that Professor Bello-Olusoji made the recommendation while delivering the 124th Inaugural Lecture of the University, titled, “Balanced Equation, the Missing Value-Shell Fish”.
