The International day for the eradication of Poverty is observed annually on October 17 as set aside by the united nations to end all forms of poverty on the globe.
The theme for this year’s commemoration “Decent Work and Social Protection: Putting Dignity in Practice for All,” aims at universal access to decent work and social protection as a way to uphold human dignity for all.
OSRC’s Joy Pius reports that the day creates a chance for people living in Poverty to make their concerns known and reflect their willingness to utilize their expertise to Contribute towards poverty eradication.
