Baby theft: Absence of defendant stalls trial of two Ondo civil servants

Absence of the second defendant in the case of two Ondo State civil servants, Adéyemí Sarumi and Bosede Orisamehin who allegedly stole the baby of a deranged woman stalled proceeding at the Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure, the state capital.

Counsel to the second defendant, Kayode Adéọlá told the Court, presided over by Justice Ade Fasanmi that his client, Mrs Bosede Orisamehin slipped on the floor and was receiving medical attention at the UNIMED Teaching Hospital, Akure.

OSRC’s Richard Ilesanmi reports that the two senior civil servants are being prosecuted on two counts of conspiracy and theft.
