The governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu says his administration’s commitment to advance every sector of the states economy remains unwavering.
At the swearing in ceremony of new members of the state executive council in Akure, the governor while congratulating the new commissioners, sSpecial Advisers and Director General of PPIMU, charged them to justify their appointments by displaying quality leadership.
Akeredolu who noted that those appointed deserved it based on their knowledge and contributions to the growth of the state, restated his passion for Workers welfare.
Government house correspondent, Wahab Bankole reports that fourteen new commissioners, seven special advisers and the Director General of the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU were inaugurated.
Governor Akeredolu while congratulating the new appointees, noted that the COVID-19 pandemic is hitting hard on the finances of the state hence its inability to meet some statutory obligations.
He affirmed that his administration remains focused and resolute to enthrench good governance.
Akeredolu posited that the state is not in a position to accommodate frivolities and inanities, adding that government does not enjoy the luxury of time and resources to tolerate any acts which stand at variance with the expectations of the people.
The governor while reassuring the people of his administration’s determination to secure them and their property, said government would sanction, with speed, any aberrant attitudes which may likely portray it as reckless and insensitive.
The Governor who appreciated the state’s workers for their support and understanding, promised that every effort is being made to ensure the payment of their salary arrears.

According to him, the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU) will assist government in ensuring value for all resources being deployed for the benefit of the people.
