A clinical professor from hunter college, university of new york Dr. Elsie Jolade has expressed readiness to work with the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo in providing basic life support training for students and staff of the institution.
Dr. Elsie Jolade during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of unimed Professor Adesegun Fatusi said she had earlier collaborated with the former Vice-Chancellor of the University, professor friday okonofua to train more than one hundred Doctors and nurses.
In a release by the university image-maker, Temitope Oluwatayo, the Vice Chancellor of UNIMED professor Adesegun Fatusi who commended the initiative said basic life support training was fundamental in Nigeria known for its high accident rates.
He assured that students and staff of the University will get the training for greater difference in the healthcare system.
His high point of the visit was the donation of books worth millions of naira to the medical institution.
