Some Yoruba traditional worshippers in Akure, Ondo State on Sunday, 20th, August 2023 joined their counterparts across the southwest to mark this year’s ISESE DAY.




The traditionalists, young and old, men and women decked in white attire converged on the popular Adegbemile area from where they made a procession to the Deji’s palace.
The people who also adorned some local accessories such as caps and headties laced with cowries as well as beads were seen singing and dancing to various traditional music.
The celebration was rounded off at the Deji’s palace where special prayers were offered for Akure, Ondo State, the entire Southwest region and Nigeria in general.
Ìsẹ̀se day is an annual celebration by Yoruba traditional worshippers.
Lagos, Osun and Ogun states have declared Monday, 21st August work free in commemoration of this year’s Isese day
