Fasting in the month of Ramadan is an important pillar of Islam which aside exceptional cases is compulsory for Muslims to observe.
During this period, faithful abstain from eating and drinking and thus denying the body of the usual food intake and attendant nutrients.
To ensure that the body does not suffer the consequences of the nutrients in Ramadan, Muslims have been advised to increase their intake of varieties of fruits while breaking the fast.
