Orange FM Honours Excellence: Olumide Adeluwoye bags Overall Best News Staff for 2024

Commitment and dedication are key ingredients for success in any career.

These were the words of encouragement from the Head of News and Current Affairs at Orange 94.5 FM, Adebimpe Akindele, during Monday’s editorial meeting, where she urged newsroom staff to remain passionate about their work.

Orange FM’s Otobot Jim reports that Olumide Adeluwoye was honored with the Overall Best News Staff Award for 2024 in recognition of his outstanding dedication and commitment to duty.

Journalists play a crucial role in informing the public about government policies and keeping society updated on current events. Despite personal challenges, they remain committed to delivering timely and accurate information.

Acknowledging the collective efforts of all newsroom members in the past year, Akindele noted that Adeluwoye stood out exceptionally.

She emphasized that hard work pays and encouraged staff to maintain high professional standards.

The first and second runners-up, Gbenga Oluwajana and Oluseye Akinwalere, congratulated the winner, describing the competition as a healthy rivalry and vowing to strive harder for the top spot next time.

In his response, Olumide Adeluwoye expressed gratitude to the newsroom management for the recognition, admitting that he had been unaware of the keen observation of his efforts.

He pledged even greater dedication, seeing the award as a call to do more.

Instituted by the newsroom management, the Orange FM Newsroom Awards aim to foster excellence, encourage a competitive spirit, and recognize hard work among journalists.
