The Governor had on 16th November, this year forwarded the list of 14 Commissioner-Nominees and Special Advisers to the House of Assembly for Approval.
The submission of report of the selection committee preceeded the Confirmation process.
While Submitting the report through his vice, the Chairman of the Committee, and Speaker of the House, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun said the confirmation became imperative in order to fast-track the instrumentality of governance, noting that the House would continue to support other arms of government to achieve the set goal.
Oloyelogun described the commissioner-designates as people with good antecedents, adding that they were all qualified to serve the state in whatever capacity.
Some of the commissioner designates including Mr Femi Agagu, Mrs Lola Fagbemi, Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju, Mr Emmanuel Igbasan, Mr Adegboyega Adefatati and Mr Fatai Olotu had served in one capacity or the other during Akeredolu’s first term in office.
Responding, Some of the Commissioner-Designates promised to contribute their quota to the development of the State and strengthen good governance.
Meanwhile, the sitting also witness swearing-in of the new Clerk of the House, Mr Benjamin Jaiyeola.
