Ondo State House of Assembly has congratulated the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he emerged as the 16th President – elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Speaking through the Speaker, Rt Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, in a statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Information,Youth and Sports Development, Akogun Olugbenga Omole, the lawmakers described Tinubu’s victory as renewed hope for Nigeria.
Oleyelogun who described Tinubu as a man with a heart of gold, expressed optimism that with his wealth of experience and love for humanity, Nigeria would soon be taken to a greater height among comity of nations in the world.
While appealing to opposition parties to join the President-elect in his mission to achieve the desired country, the lawmakers lauded the lndependent National Electoral Commission (lNEC) for conducting a free, fair, credible and one of the best elections in Nigeria political history.
They expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN, CON) for his doggedness and love for APC, saying this is responsible for the landslide victory recorded in Ondo State.
The House, however, called on the people of the State to also come out enmass to vote for APC candidates in the House of Assembly election slated for 11th March, 2023.
