Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami are presently attending the inaugural sitting of the Ondo State Election Petitions Tribunal at the State High Court in Akure, the state capital.
The tribunal, which has been constituted to hear cases arising from the recently conducted November 2024 gubernatorial election, will begin proceedings with preliminary hearings on petitions filed by aggrieved parties.
The session marks a crucial phase in the post-election legal process, as political stakeholders seek redress over perceived electoral irregularities.
The tribunal is expected to handle petitions from opposition parties and candidates who have raised concerns about the conduct of the election, the declaration of results, and other electoral matters.
