Artisans and stakeholders in the construction industry in Ondo State are lamenting the high cost of cement in the country.
Some bricklayers and block makers who spoke with OSRC in Akure, the state capital said the incident has reduced their daily income, calling on the federal government to urgently address what is responsible for the hike.
OSRC’s Richard Ilesanmi reports that most retail shops in Akure are selling a bag of cement between 3,200 and 3,500 naira.
