ODHA condoles with former SSG Abegunde, Afenifere Chieftain Arogbofa

Ondo State House of Assembly has commiserated with the family of the former Secretary to Ondo State Government, Sunday Abegunde over the death of his father, Chief Williams Abegunde who died at the age of 100.

Leading some lawmakers to pay a condolence visit to the family house of the deceased, the Speaker of the House, Olamide Oladiji, described late Williams Abegunde as a man of discipline who surrendered his entire life to God and humanity.

According to the Speaker, the reason of the visit was to celebrate with the former SSG over the demise of his father who had lived a purposeful and fulfilled life while on earth.

Responding, Sunday Abegunde, thanked the Speaker and other lawmakers for finding time to visit, saying it’s a show of love.

The Speaker also led the lawmakers to pay a condolence visit to the family of Bashorun Sehinde Arogbofa over the demise of his wife, late Mrs Elizabeth Olukemi Arogbofa which occurred recently.

Speaking on behalf of the parliamentarians, the Speaker described the late wife of the elder statesman as a lover of all, and would be greatly missed for the impactful and good life she lived.

Oladiji, however prayed to God to grant her eternal rest.

Expressing appreciation, the husband of the deceased, Bashorun Sehinde Arogbofa described the death of his wife as a rude shock.

According to him, his late wife lived a fulfilled and righteous life, saying she would be greatly missed.

Among the lawmakers that accompanied the Speaker were the House Majority Leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi, the parliamentary Secretary, Moyinoluwa Ogunwumiju, Toyin Japheth, Olajide Oguntodu among others.
