His Excellency’s appointment of Mr. Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of OSRC Media Group has yielded remarkable results, with this milestone achievement being a testament to the governor’s commitment to excellence and progress.
A glance at the corporation’s history reveals that OSRC-TV was initially connected to the national grid since its inception in 1982. However, the corporation was compelled to disconnect from the grid in 2004 due to a plethora of challenges. These included incessant power outages that disrupted program transmissions, frequent equipment damage, and exorbitant monthly electricity bills despite irregular power supply.
For nearly two decades, OSRC Media Group relied solely on generators to power its operations. Nevertheless, with the advent of the new leadership, the corporation has witnessed a significant turnaround. Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Odusola-Stevenson, OSRC Media Group has not only restored its connection to the national grid but has also secured a dedicated power line.
This development is a testament to the corporation’s commitment to excellence and its determination to overcome the challenges that have hindered its growth in the past.
