Among the practice attached to Good Friday by christians over the years is the abstinence from meat consumption.

To Roman Catholic, it is a way of identifying with Jesus Christ who was crucified on the cross of calvary for the sins of mankind.

OSRC’s Omorinola Hungbeji reports that some christians who have divergent views on the practice believe total abstinence from sin should be the ultimate goal of all.
