Three-time champions, Nigeria will face Cameroon in the Round of 16 knockout stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles who finished second in Group with 7 points will face the Cameroonians who also finished second in Group C with 4 points.
Cameroon won their last Group C match against the Gambia 3-2 on Tuesday while Guinea who needed a draw in their game against defending champions, Senegal,. instead lost by 2-0 to drop to 3rd with 4points.
On their part, Nigeria reached the Round of 16 after defeating Guinea Bissau by alone goal on Monday.
The last time both the Super Eagles and the Indomitable Lions met at the same stage in 2019 AFCON in Egypt, Super Eagles triumphed 2-1.
The Round of 16 clash will hold on Saturday, January 27 by 8pm at Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
