The family of the first indigenous Chief Imam of Akure land, late Abdulsalam Alake, has bequeathed a library to Akure Muslim college in memory of the islamic cleric.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu described the gesture as a boost to government’s determination to improve the quality of education in the state.
Zaheed Aribisala reports that aside the library which was commissioned by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola a book titled “Imam Abdulsalam Alake, life and legacies” was also launched.
