In what many have described as a surprise and drastic move, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announced the redesign of the naira.
The affected denominations are the #200, #500, and #1000 naira notes.
The CBN says the new notes will be released for public use on december 15 and will circulate together with old notes which will be phased out eventually.
