The Lawmaker representing Akure North and South federal constituency, Mayokun Alade wants the National Assembly election petitions tribunal hearing disputes from February by-election to dismiss the petition filed against his victory at the poll.

At the inaugural sitting of the tribunal his counsel, Olawole Abiola told the three man panel of justices that the petition of the PDP candidate in the February 26 Akure North and South federal constituency by-election was incompetent and defective.

OSRC’s Richard Ilesanmi reports that the inaugural session of the tribunal was stalled on may 13 following the withdrawal of the three man panel of justices, raphael ajuwa over his relationship with the petitioner’s lead counsel.
