Ondo State House of Assembly has passed into law over 174 billion naira as the 2021 Appropriation Bill.
The figure is about 15 billion naira higher than the 159 billion naira presented by the executive arm of government.
The passage followed the presentation of the report by the chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr. Sunday Olajide to the House during its plenary.
The speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun put the report to voice vote which got the unanimous consent of all Lawmakers present before the appropriation bill was passed into law.
He commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the finance committee for their committment in ensuring the speedy passage of the 2021 budget estimate.
Meanwhile, three out of the four reinstated Lawmakers, favour Tomomewo, Mr Tomide Akinribido and Mr Adewale Williams have resumed legislative business.
The Speaker integrated them including Mr Ogundeji Iroju in absential, to standing committees in line with the constitutional roles of the Assembly.
