The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu said his administration would henceforth pay the West African Examination Council fees of students in public schools.
Governor Akeredolu made the commitment while playing host to the national leadership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) at the governor’s office in Akure.
Government House Correspondent, Wahab Bankole reports that the governor said the move is to relieve parents and guardians of the education burden of their children despite government’s lean resources.
