Cervical cancer is rated as one of the world’s deadliest disease having responsible for over 270,000 deaths annually but the cheering news is that it is preventable.
To deepen awareness on the disease, the Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria, BRECAN and Forum of Wives of Ondo State Officials, FOWOSO have joined the World Health Organization and other nations to launch the global strategy on cervical cancer.
OSRC’s Government House Correspondent, Timilehin Falade reports that wife of Ondo state Governor and founder of BRECAN, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu initiated the launch in Akure.
