The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has sought the support of traditional rulers in Ondo state for a hitch free governorship election in October.
INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu at a meeting with the Council of Obas in the state at the Cocoa hall of the Governor’s office in Akure, also told the traditional rulers that the commission has implemented 12 of the 14 scheduled activities for the October election.
OSRC’s Shola Ilesanmi reports that the INEC boss also met with journalists and security agencies as part of his readiness assurance visit to the state.
