Ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C, alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The three-time African champions will be eyeing a return to glory in Morocco, aiming to clinch their fourth AFCON title after narrowly losing the last final to Côte d’Ivoire.
The draw, held on Monday in Rabat, revealed a competitive lineup for the tournament, with host nation Morocco placed in Group A alongside Mali, Zambia, and Comoros.
Holders Cote d’Ivoire are in Group F along with Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique.

Following the 2025 AFCON draw on Monday, Nigeria are up against a diverse mix of opponents in Group C.
Tunisia, a perennial contender, will test Nigeria’s mettle, while Uganda and Tanzania bring energy and unpredictability to the group.
The Super Eagles have a rich AFCON history, boasting three championships in 1980, 1994, and 2013.

The 2025 AFCON will kick off on December 21, 2025, with group stage matches running until December 31, excluding Christmas Day.
