The Chairman of the Ondo State owned radio and television stations, Mr Kunle Adebayo has felicitated the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, on the successful completion of the 2024 Press Week.
In a letter personally signed and addressed to the Chairman of the council, Prince Leke Adegbite, OSRC Chairman, Mr Kunle Adebayo, highlighted the interventions of the Union in the development of the media arena in Ondo State.

LETTER OF CONGRATULATIONS
I Write on behalf of Ondo State Radiovision Corporation, owners of OSRC TV, Orange 94.5fm and Sunshine 96.5fm Alalaye, to congratulate you and our esteemed union on a very successful and memorable press week which concludes tonight with an award event for deserving friends and members. I note with excitement the remarkable development and landmark strides which the union has made under your able leadership over the years.
It is important to place on record the candour and resilience of the union in ensuring good governance, responsible citizenship and wholesome development of the state in general. One feels personally gratified to recall a few particular interventions of the union, as the fourth realm of the estate, on behalf of the common man, in the instance of government policies and actions in the state.
Examples include but are not limited to
1. Call for the effective management of palliatives approved for distribution to the citizens of the state;
2. Call for an improved condition of service for the workers of Owena Press Limited;
3. Call for promotion of media Journalists in public service to the peak of career in line with other civil servants in the state;
4. Campaign against quackery and impostors in media practice;
5. Effective performance of journalists in the coverage of election process in the last governorship elections in the state.
Indeed, all these point to the importance attached to professional excellence by the Ondo NUJ under your watch. We sincerely hope the standard of leadership sustained by your executive council’s leadership will be made a permanent feature of the union.
