Acting Governor commiserates with families, victims of Ore tanker explosion

Ondo state Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has commiserated with families and victims of the fire explosion from a fuel laden tanker that occured at Ore in Odigbo council area.

Aiyedatiwa who made an unscheduled visit to the scene of the inferno expressed sadness over the tragic incident.

Our Correspondent, Gbenga Oluwajana was on the entourage reports that the tragedy broke out in Ore/Showboy axis along Lagos Benin expressway as a fuel laden tanker which spilled its content exploded and burnt to death undisclosed number of persons and injured many others .

An eye witness who is also the youth leader in the community, Segun Owoseeni narrated how the fire incident turned the victims affected to shadows of themselves.

Owoseeni and other eyewitnesses appealed to the state government to come to their aid and provide a fire fighting truck that will serve Ore axis in case of fire outbreak.

Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa sympathized with families of the victims and appealed to the youths to remain calm and stear clear of the scene of the incident.

He also urged them to cooperate with officials of the fire service once they come around to do their work.

Aiyedatiwa said government recently procured fire fighting trucks to tackle such incidences and assured of government intervention to victims of the incident very soon.

He cautioned against going near places where explosions could occur.
