The Amotekun corps in ondo state has strengthened it operations with another initiative to rid the state of crimes.
Code named ‘Gbale gbako, the initiative according to the commander Adetunji Adeleye was launch to further give confidence to the people that they are well secured as we approach the yuletide.
Adeleye who was a guest on the roundtable, an interrogative live Television program of the ondo state Radiovision Corporation media group, explained that security situation in the state is far better than it used to be.
He submitted that the operations of the corps are predominantly in the hinterlands with just 30% concentration on the urban centers.
The corps commander equally posited that the Traditional rulers of all communities in the state are working in conjunction with the network on the integrity of its personnel.
Chief Adeleye however denounced insinuations on the social media that personnel of the Amotekun corps are poorly remunerated.
According to him, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is so concerned about the welfare of the operatives that their salaries are paid on 28th or before 30th of every month.
On the issue of the personnel carrying sophisticated weapons, the corps commander maintained that Arakunrin Akeredolu has assured the deployment of every legal option to achieve such.
Chairman osrc media group, Kunle Adebayo had earlier led the conversation with accolades to Mr. Governor for the Amotekun initiative.
Adebayo applauded the presence of media professionals within and outside the media group for the great jobs for the people of Ondo.
The two hours live programme featured sessions of critical questions from media professionals present.
