Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State might still be basking in the euphoria of the Appeal Court judgment which upheld his stay in office, but the case which sought for his removal has given rise to several implications and demands. Some political analysts and governance evaluators have emphasised the need for constitutional reform which will clearly spell out the repercussion for defection by elected executives as well as the need for political parties to champion ideologies OSRC’s Zaheed Aribisala reports that respondents also insist that political parties must begin to assert their supremacy.
