A legal practitioner, Olumuyiwa Adu has emerged candidate of the people democratic party in the February 26 Akure South/Akure North Federal Consituency bye-election election.
Adu polled ninety-eight votes to defeat his four opponents at a primary election held in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
Announcing the results, chairman of the five man electoral committee, Dr Amos Fawole said Adu scored 98 out of the 233 votes cast.
His closest rival, Kemisola Adesanya scored 70 votes, Dayo awude 16, adebayo alarapon 8, and Babatunde Faro had 40 votes.
Accepting the mandate, Adu promised to work with other contestants to secure victory for PDP in the poll
