Stakeholders in Ondo have commended osrc tv and orange FM for making an unprecedented initiative of taking Christmas celebrations to the doorsteps of the needy and vulnerable in the society.

The commendation was made when a Christmas crew of Osrc tv and orange FM  visited  some designated areas with Christmas Gifts for children  across the state.

Some of the places  visited include the Ondo state children’s home,  the University of Medical sciences teaching hospital and the Ondo state school for the hearing impaired.

Some stakeholders described as unprecedented the move by  Osrc tv and orange FM management teamd to take Christmas celebrations to the doorsteps of the needy and the vulnerable in the society.

At  the  Ondo state children ‘s home where they were met by happy children for the joyous visit , The director of child,  ministry of women affairs and social development,  Mr Niyi Ogunleye while commending the stations for the initiative said the gesture will go a long way in impacting the children positively.

Then the stations Christmas crew moved to the University of Medical sciences teaching hospital led by the commissioner for health,  Dr wahab Adegbenro where the physician in charge, Dr adeshina akintan told  Osrc and orange FM management that history will be kind to stations for  making history since the establishment of the hospital through the initiative.

While,  the Commissioner for health,  Dr wahab Adegbenro said the station’s mission of meeting with the vulnerable and less privileged in the society is a laudable one as this will impact the lives of those visited.

At the hospital new mothers were not left out  as they were also given gifts along side children found in different children wards.

The crew later moved to the Ondo state school for the hearing impaired where the principal of the school, Dr Victoria Olaniyi appreciated the stations for remembering the deaf students as this will mark a new era for the children and the school at large.

The chairman Osrc and orange FM Mr Kunle Adebayo  said  the  initiative to personally visit  the children rather than the conventional  way round is a way of giving back to the society.

He said  the initiative which is an inspiration from the government  is focused on visiting and sharing with the vulnerable in this yuletide session.

The orange FM’s and Osrc TV Christmas crew had also visited Ilara and  idanre council area where several gifts were also presented to children as part of efforts by the stations to give back to the society.
