As part of its mandate to look into the remote and immediate causes of the lands dispute between Araromi- Obu and Ikale (AGO ALAYE), the panel of inquiry set up by Ondo State Government has called for submission of memoranda from interested members of the communities, traditional rulers, stakeholders and among others.
According to a Press Statement signed by the chairman of the panel Barr. Tunde Atere, the memoranda which should be in line with its terms of reference must be submitted to the Secretary of the panel at the room marked “Senior Administrative Officers”, first floor Ministry of Agriculture, Alagbaka, Akure.
The chairman of the panel added that submission of the memoranda which must be in ten hard and one soft copies must not be later than 4.00pm on Friday 16th August, 2019.
It is instructive to note that following the violent eruption of crises between the people of Araromi obu and Ikale (Ago Alaye) on Tuesday 18, July, 2019 resulting in the alleged destruction of property Ondo State Government set up a 5- Man Panel Headed by former Commissioner of National Resources Barr Tunde Atere to unearth the factors that led to the avoidable crises.
The panel has commenced works immediately it was inaugurated by Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.
